Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet with the national insignia of the Royal Canadian Air Force, defined by size: roundels with the maple leaf of the Silver Maple Leaf series, 84 inches across on the real machine, which in 1:72 scale is just under 30 mm. It is the largest size this series covers and it belongs on large surfaces. It is not the markings of one named machine or a sheet of maintenance stencils. Anyone who needs several sizes at once reaches for the sheet without a dimension in its designation (ADD72C050); the manufacturer lists the atypical sizes under ADD72C050-6. A survey of types with the usual use of sizes and placements belongs with the sheets of this series.
After the Second World War the Royal Canadian Air Force replaced the red center disc of the roundel with a red maple leaf on a white field, and this form lasted until 1965, when it gave way to the eleven-point leaf of the new national flag. The word silver in the name of the series belongs to the species of maple from which the leaf takes its shape - not to the color, which is red. The size differed with the type of aircraft and with the surface the insignia stood on.
Decals are not applied with modeling cement. They go onto dried gloss varnish, are seated with water and a decal fixer and, on broken surfaces, with a decal softener, so that the film follows the rivets and panel lines. Cut the individual markings out close to the artwork. Give a large roundel plenty of water underneath so that it can be moved, and once it is seated press the air out from the center toward the edge.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
