Bristol Brigand including Buckingham and Buckmaster is a monograph on the British Bristol bombers and ground-attack aircraft from the Warpaint series, volume No. 68. The volumes of the Warpaint series combine the history of a single type with an extensive picture section, with color profiles of the camouflage and with drawings in 1:72 scale.

A publication, not a kit. Volume No. 68 of the Warpaint series, by Tony Buttler, follows three related Bristol machines together, from the design through the individual versions to the armament and the operational use.
The Bristol Brigand was a British twin-engine ground-attack aircraft and torpedo bomber with Bristol Centaurus radial engines. It grew out of the Buckingham medium bomber and the Buckmaster trainer, with which it shared parts of the structure. It entered service only after the Second World War and made its name mainly as an attack machine over Malaya and over Aden. The Buckingham came too late — its role was taken over by the fast Mosquito — and many of the aircraft built ended up in transport and training duties.
For modelers who build the less usual British types and are looking for a reference when choosing markings, and for collectors of literature on the postwar Royal Air Force. As a reference it serves when choosing camouflage and markings and when checking the details that differ between the individual versions. It can be read on its own, without previous knowledge of the subject, and it works as a general survey of the type as well.
