This is a versatile photo-etched accessory, not a kit. Aber (the Polish maker of photo-etched parts) supplies a thin brass sheet with a regular mesh with apertures of 0.75 x 1.5 mm. The elongated rectangular apertures recall louvered or slotted grilles.
An etched brass mesh replaces coarsely molded plastic grilles with an accurate metal part. The elongated apertures suit slotted ventilation grilles, radiator louvers, covers and vents. The material is thin, holds its shape and is easy to cut to size.
Cut the part out with sharp photo-etch scissors or break it off the fret, and degrease the surface beforehand. Glue the mesh with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with a two-part adhesive; before painting, apply a primer for metal so that the paint holds well.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other materials are not included in the package.
