It is an accessory, not a kit and not a finished model: the box holds a printed decal sheet with a carrier film. The sheet is the third part of the Modern Day Mustangs series from the British brand Kits-World. Which machines and schemes it covers is stated on the box.
The P-51D was the most widespread version of the Mustang. It received a teardrop canopy with a good view to the rear, six 12.7 mm machine guns and a Packard V-1650 engine, that is a Rolls-Royce Merlin built under license. Its long range let it escort bomber formations as far as German territory. After the war Mustangs went on serving, and to this day they are among the most frequently flown historic aircraft.
Decals hold best on a gloss varnished surface. Cut them out as close to the print as possible, soak them briefly in lukewarm water and slide them onto a spot moistened in advance. Decal setting solutions help press the film into engraved lines and suppress glossy edges. Seal the finished print with a varnish compatible with the paint you used.
