Sd.Kfz.166 Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär, volume one is a specialist publication by Waldemar Trojca on the German assault armored vehicle. It is not a kit but a book to work from when building and painting a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a book, not a kit. The first volume of the monograph from Waldemar Trojca's numbered series deals with the German Sturmpanzer IV assault armored vehicle, known by the nickname Brummbär. The heart of the series is technical drawings and period photographs, from which the shape and fittings of a particular production run can be traced. It is precisely as a pictorial reference that modelers use the series.
The Sturmpanzer IV came about on the chassis of the Pz.Kpfw. IV tank. Instead of a revolving turret it received a fixed armored superstructure with a 15 cm StuH 43 howitzer, intended for direct support of infantry in fighting in built-up terrain and against fortifications. The vehicles were built in several production runs, which differ from one another in the shape of the superstructure, the mounting of the weapon and the fittings on the armor. It is exactly these differences that matter to a modeler, and the book follows them.
For modelers who build the Sturmpanzer IV in any scale and want a reference for details, camouflage and markings, and for those interested in German assault vehicles of the Second World War. The drawings and pictures serve regardless of the language of the text. The publication came out in several language editions, and the language version of this particular copy is not stated here.
