A kit of the Kornet-D anti-tank missile system on the armored Tigr-M chassis in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Tigr-M is a Russian armored off-road vehicle with all-wheel drive, used for reconnaissance, communications and carrying a squad. In the version with the Kornet-D system it carries a launcher for Kornet anti-tank guided missiles, which rises from the roof and folds back down after firing. The missiles are guided along a laser beam, so the operator has to hold the target in the sight all the way to impact. The vehicle thus combines the mobility of a light armored car with the reach of anti-tank missiles, and it is built for ambush from cover rather than for a straight fight.
This is a kit in 1:72 scale, so you build and paint the model yourself. A vehicle about five and a half meters long works out at just under eight centimeters in this scale. The extent of the parts, the marking options and whether decals are included are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging. A model this size fits in the palm of your hand, which makes the cleanliness of the glued joints all the more important.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade a little clear of the attachment point and sand the remainder so that the edge is not disturbed. Wash and degrease the model before painting. In a small scale it pays to lighten the base color very slightly, otherwise the model looks darker than the real vehicle. Mask the glazing and the optics before spraying, keep the tires in a muted dark gray and dust the underside of the vehicle with pigment working from the bottom upward.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
