A set of masks for spraying the camouflage scheme onto a model of the Mi-25 attack helicopter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mi-25 is the export designation of the Soviet Mi-24D attack helicopter. The machine combines heavy armament with space for carrying soldiers, and you will recognize it by its two stepped cockpits and its stub wings with pylons. Helicopters of this type flew in many countries and carried a colorful range of camouflage schemes.
Masks for spraying the camouflage scheme onto a model of the Mi-25 in 1:72 scale. The masks are cut to the shape of the color fields, so the boundaries between the shades come out sharp and match each other on both sides of the model. Which kit they are cut for is stated in the manufacturer's instructions; compare the scale and the version of the machine beforehand, then.
The masks are stuck onto paint that has already dried, that is before the next shade is sprayed, never after the finish has been completed. The surface has to be clean, smooth and degreased. Press the edges of the mask down carefully, for instance with a wooden toothpick, so that the paint cannot get underneath. Spray the next shade in several thin coats and perpendicular to the edge of the mask, otherwise the paint will run under it. Take the masks off shortly after the last coat has dried, while the finish is still young; later they come away less easily and may pull the paint off.
The set suits modelers who build the Mi-25 or the Mi-24 in 1:72 scale and want an accurate camouflage scheme without masking off with paper and modeling clay. It speeds the work up above all with complicated patterns that have many fields.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
