Airbrush maintenance set

An airbrush does not stop working all at once. First a little spatter appears, then an uneven coat, and finally a drop of paint lands at the wrong moment right in the middle of a camouflage pattern. Behind most of these problems is dried residue in the paint channel, a dulled needle seat, or a leak around the nozzle. This kit is put together for exactly these three cases.

Inside you will find a small brush shaped to pass through the inside of the airbrush body and reach spots a cloth cannot. A thin coiled wire is used to run through the narrow channel and remove deposits that paint leaves behind in it. A wrench makes removing the nozzle easier — the operation where the thread is most often damaged, because people try to loosen it with pliers. Grease for the moving parts of the mechanism and a compound for sealing the joint at the nozzle round out the set.

When should you reach for maintenance? Definitely after spraying lacquers and fillers, after a long break, and whenever the airbrush starts behaving differently between passes. A disassembled airbrush is cleaned piece by piece, the mechanism is greased very sparingly, and the needle goes back in only at the very end, so the tip is not damaged against the edge of the nozzle.

Regular care pays off in calm work. An airbrush with a clean channel, a smoothly guided needle, and a tight nozzle holds its line even at low pressure and lets you draw thin camouflage lines without the transition starting to skip. The set is built for mechanical maintenance; the manufacturer does not include cleaning fluid with it.
