AKTION is a magazine focused on wargaming, that is on tabletop war games with figures, terrain and rules. This is the first issue of the series. The publisher is AK Interactive, a brand modelers know above all for paints and pictorial guides. Wargaming joins three things that elsewhere in modeling meet only rarely: collecting, handwork on figures and terrain, and finally play by the rules. The magazine keeps to that breadth and does not narrow itself to a single scale or a single game system.
The title will appeal to players who not only put an army together but also paint it themselves and build a game table for it. It will serve figure modelers just as well, for whom wargaming is a way into the small scales and into painting a larger number of pieces in bulk. The magazine format suits reading in parts, as each article stands on its own and you do not have to take it in order.
