A thin aluminum sheet 0.1 mm thick in a 200 x 250 mm size from AK interactive - a material for scratch building, plating and repairs, not a finished part.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit or an accessory to one particular model, but raw material. According to the name the sheet is one hundred micrometers thick, that is a tenth of a millimeter, and measures 200 x 250 mm. It is the thinnest of the three thicknesses and its advantage is clear: it can be shaped with the fingers and with scissors without breaking or springing back.
The sheet is cut with ordinary paper scissors, or scored with a sharp scalpel against a steel rule and snapped over an edge - at this thickness both work. Make bends over a metal edge, not over a finger, or you get a rounded wave instead of a sharp edge. Before painting, degrease the metal with alcohol or acetone and apply a primer meant for metal; aluminum is smooth and without a primer the paint peels at every touch. It is bonded with super glue or two-part epoxy, not with polystyrene cement. Watch the edges: cut thin sheet cuts into your fingers like paper, only worse.
The material is intended for further working. Protect your hands and eyes when cutting and sanding.
