A car model is judged on a single thing, and that is the surface of the bodywork. Whereas on a tank an unevenness looks like wear, on the hood of a sports car it looks like a mistake. The bodywork has to be smooth, saturated and deep, which with military matte paints nobody worries about. That is exactly why separate paint lines focused exclusively on vehicles come about, and this collection is one of the most extensive.
Sixty-two shades run through the whole spectrum of racing cars and road machines. The yellow group goes from pale through racing to golden and saturated. The orange and red part is the strongest and contains both the historic Italian racing red in two levels and maroon, fiery red and several shades associated with well known team finishes of the 1970s and 1980s.
The green family builds on British Racing Green in a light as well as a dark form and complements it with several more saturated tones. The blue group is the most numerous of all and reaches from pale through team shades to a dark navy. Then follows the gray line, rubber, carbon fiber and black in a matte as well as a semi-gloss rendering.
A special part is formed by the metallics with a fine metal grain, the chrome effect applied over a black gloss base, and translucent paints in yellow, orange, red and smoke. These are applied over a metallic and create a deep candy effect. The collection is closed off by a thinner and a two-component gloss clear coat with its own hardener and cleaner, that is a system for the final polishing of the bodywork.
