This is volume number 05 of the AMMO Wargaming Universe book line, carrying the title Frozen Moors. The subject is cold, freezing country, which is a rewarding environment for tabletop games and for figure painters alike: snow and ice change the coloring of a whole scene and force you to think about light differently than with ordinary summer terrain.
The book comes out as a trilingual edition. The text is given in English, Spanish and Polish, so a reader can choose according to the language they know best and does not have to hunt for a separate edition. For a Czech reader that is practical: with modeling literature the English wording tends to be the most comprehensible and technical terms are easiest to look up in it.
The publication is modeling literature and it is aimed at tabletop wargamers, figure painters and terrain builders. The line is numbered, so the fifth volume follows on from the earlier titles of the same series and they can be combined according to which environment you are building at the time. Frozen country is not a subject for a winter battle alone: a white area around a figure markedly changes how the colors of the gear look and how a shadow reads on the scene.
It is worth knowing that this is a book, not a set of paints or a gaming accessory: what you take away from it depends on how much of it you carry over to your own bench. As a gift for a gamer or a figure painter, though, it is a safe bet. Paints, figures and terrain material are not included, unless stated otherwise.
