A modeling paint from the ATOM COLOR range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The shade Gelbbraun 8020, that is yellow-brown.
Responsibility details are not available.
Gelbbraun is the German name for yellow-brown, and the number 8020 designates the particular shade. The number 8020 carries the same name in the RAL standard as well, which is commonly used as a reference point for military equipment. It is a muted brown tone with a sandy cast and none of the saturation of fresh paint, that is a shade that looks on a model not like a poster but like a dusty surface. It comes into its own wherever the surface is meant to be warm and bleached by the sun.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, or the settled pigments will not disperse and the shade will come out lighter. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, that is a thinner intended for this range. Apply the paint in thin coats and let them dry between one another; one heavy coat drowns fine surface detail and is more easily damaged. The surface must be clean and degreased. Before applying decals it helps to coat the surface with gloss varnish, and once finished the whole model is unified with a matte or satin varnish, depending on how the result is meant to look.
The paint suits builders of military equipment and figures who work with a muted earthy palette and mix their own transitions between shades. It also serves well as a base under a weathered surface, because a muted tone takes further coats of dust and glazes without going black.
The paint itself is supplied. The thinner, brushes and varnish are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
