A set of slotted fasteners with a wide low head in the three finest diameters – 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7 millimeters.
Responsibility details are not available.
A truss head is low, slightly domed and above all unusually wide: compared with an ordinary head it has a substantially larger seating face. On a real machine such a joint appears exactly where a thin pressed wall is screwed on and the pressure has to be spread, so that the area around the hole does not bend and the head does not pull through the metal. We are talking about fender stays, the lids of tool boxes, the clips of edgings and the lower sheet-metal parts that are mounted upright.
A straight slot instead of an internal drive carries information of its own. This way of tightening belongs to older machinery – to machines of the first half of the last century, to agricultural and industrial structures and to interior fittings, where the work was done by hand and without a torque wrench. On a machine of today you will meet it only rarely; on a classic, by contrast, it makes up most of the visible heads, and that is exactly what makes such a detail legible on a model.
The package covers the three smallest steps: 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7 millimeters. They are intended for small clips, strips and edgings, that is for places where the joint is to be noticeable but not to draw attention. A metal version, unlike a cast imitation, holds the sharp edge of the slot even after a layer of paint has gone over it, so the drive is not flooded and stays recognizable.
