Modeling screws with a hexagon head, 1.2 mm in size.
Responsibility details are not available.
The largest joints on a machine carry the largest loads and it shows on them: the heads at the wheel axles, at the mounting of the swingarm or at the exhaust flange are hefty and a viewer registers them even from a distance. Yet it is exactly these places that on a model tend to be resolved only as a shallow ring, which does not stand up at close range.
These are screws with a hexagon head, in the 1.2 mm size. Of the fine modeling sizes it is the prominent one, so use it with consideration: on a small model it easily outgrows its surroundings and draws attention where it does not belong. On the main joints, though, that very heftiness is right and sets them apart from the small screws on the covers.
Pre-drill the hole with a bit matching the size and choose the depth so that the head seats on the surface. If the part has no thread, glue it into the hole. With larger heads how cleanly they seat is visible too, so level the surface under them first. Dose the glue with a wire around the perimeter of the mating surface, not into the middle of the hole, from where it is squeezed out around the head.
They suit builders who are finishing the prominent joints of the running gear and want a model that stands up even in a close-up photograph.
The package holds the screws only. A model, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
