An add-on set of small imitations of fastening hardware. One item covers three parts, that is a bolt, a nut and a washer, in a uniform size of 0.6 mm. It is intended as an accessory for models of motorcycles.
Injection-molded kits tend to have bolt heads suggested only by a shallow relief, and when the seams are sanded nothing is often left of them. Separate parts bring the detail back and give it a crisp edge that plastic cannot hold at so small a dimension. On a motorcycle this means the mounting of brake calipers, engine covers, footpegs or frame joints, where the hardware is clearly visible.
For a modeler who is finishing a machine with exposed mechanical parts and wants the detail to stand up even in a close-up photograph. It is an accessory, not a kit.
