Hex bolt heads in a flat version, 0.5 mm in size. The finest dimension of the family, for models in small scales.
Responsibility details are not available.
A half-millimeter head is at the limit of what the eye can still make out on a model, and that is precisely why it is so useful. It does not draw attention to itself, but the surface stops looking smooth and empty. The flat version also does not project so far above the surface, so it suits places where a taller shape would be in the way: engine covers, inner walls, chassis frames or under parts that are fitted last.
Hex bolt heads in a flat version, 0.5 mm in size according to the name of the item. You work the size out by multiplying with the figure of the scale: in 1:35 scale it corresponds to roughly seventeen millimeters on the real machine, in 1:48 scale to twenty-four and in 1:72 scale to thirty-six. For aircraft models in small scales it is a sensible compromise between readability and exaggerated detail.
Parts of this size are lost faster than you can blink. Work over a light surface with a rim and take them one at a time with the moistened tip of a toothpick; at this size tweezers are more of a catapult. Apply a drop of cyanoacrylate glue to the model in advance with a wire, simply lay the part into it and let it set. Do not paint over them with a thick coat or the shape would disappear; a thin covering coat and a dark wash around the foot are enough for the heads to appear on the surface.
For modelers who detail aircraft and ground models in smaller scales and want fine joints that stay readable even after spraying. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
