The layer that in the end nobody sees decides all the others. A primer levels out the differences between parts of different colors, evens out a surface made up of several materials and creates a tone on which the covering shade behaves predictably. This dark gray primer from the acrylic range of the Italian brand Lifecolor is built for exactly that.
Why dark gray in particular
A dark base under dark camouflage shades shortens the way to coverage and at the same time creates a natural shadow in all the recesses where neither a brush nor the stream from an airbrush properly reaches. The name points to the dark gray of armored vehicles, so the shade suits German gray camouflage above all, but it will serve anywhere a dark undercoat is wanted beneath the paint.
Apply it in thin layers to a clean and degreased surface. A heavy layer will flood the fine relief that made you choose the part in the first place. Mix the contents of the bottle thoroughly before work, so that the pigment settled at the bottom is spread evenly.
For modelers of armored vehicles and dioramas who want a reliable uniform base under the paint, and for anyone who works with chipping and needs a dark undercoat.
Keep out of the reach of children. Ventilate while working and close the bottle carefully after use.
