Tufts of low flowering vegetation ready for immediate use. Fine fibers carry tiny flower accents in a pink shade and the whole tuft is lifted off the backing film in one piece. Pink is a color that establishes the season of a scene unambiguously: it matches the flowering herbs of late spring and summer, clover and vetch growths on field margins and the run-wild garden greenery around abandoned farmsteads. On a model it works above all as a contrast: in a gray-green military scene or on a dusty road the eye notices pink patches at once.
Always grip the tuft with tweezers by its lower foot, never by the fibers: torn-out fibers cannot be put back and the tuft thins. Lift it off the film straight upwards. If the underside has stayed tacky, it is enough to press the tuft in place and hold it for a few seconds. When it no longer holds, apply a drop of PVA glue or cyanoacrylate gel to the terrain, wait a moment for the glue to go tacky, and only then seat the tuft; in a completely fresh drop the fibers sink in and the tuft collapses. Hold the tweezers at a shallow angle so that they do not block your view of the place where you are planting the tuft.
Never leave a tuft standing on a smooth surface like a button. Press it lightly into the terrain, spread the edges with the tip of the tweezers and scatter a little fine dust or earth at the foot: the transition between the tuft and the base is what decides whether a scene looks real. Dose the blossom tufts sparingly and ideally in irregular groups of two or three, with open space left between them. Taller tufts can be shortened from below with scissors, and dividing one tuft into two gives lower, less conspicuous clumps.
This is a scenic accessory for direct use. Glue and a base are not included in the package.
