The set offers a subdivided hull with an open turret, detailed fittings for the fighting compartment and one-piece flexible tracks that can be glued and painted. Three marking options are in the package.
The M42 Duster was an American self-propelled anti-aircraft gun brought into service in 1953. In its open turret it carried a pair of 40 mm guns and its task was the anti-aircraft protection of armored units; it was also deployed for fire support against ground targets. The fittings included among other things the loader's seat and the personal weapons of the crew.
The open turret calls for careful assembly and painting of the internal fittings before it is closed up. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic joints, apply primer and paint with an airbrush. Glue the flexible tracks on and paint over them; you will fine-tune the weathering with a wash and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
