AK Interactive Blue Berets Spray

A spray paint from the manufacturer AK Interactive in a blue shade, intended for laying a base coat of color down quickly and evenly. Unlike bottled paints the spray is not thinned: it is applied straight from the can and you need neither an airbrush nor a compressor for it. The shade belongs to a line of sprays that AK offers as a set of basic colors for figures and fantasy subjects; the neighboring shades in the same line have similar naming.

Use

• Shake the can thoroughly before spraying; about a minute is recommended even after you hear the mixing ball.
• The surface of the model has to be clean and degreased; with plastic and resin alike it pays to spray primer on first.
• Spray from a distance of roughly the length of your forearm, with a steady movement and in several thin coats, because one heavy coat fills the detail and runs.
• Let the paint flash off between coats; full curing takes longer than drying to the touch, so do not hurry on to further work.
• Before spraying another paint or a varnish over it, test the compatibility on an offcut of sprue, because layers of different chemistries can attack one another.
• After use, turn the can upside down and give it a short burst, so that the valve clears and does not clog next time.
