A brass angle, that is an L-shaped section with a 2 x 2 mm profile. The package contains one piece.
Responsibility details are not available.
A brass L-shaped section is an angle: two legs meeting at a right angle. It is the bend in the corner that gives a thin strip its stiffness, so the section does not sag under its own weight the way a flat sheet of the same thickness would. Brass holds its shape, can be sanded and polished, and solders well.
The profile of the section is 2 x 2 mm, so both legs are of equal width. There is one piece in the package. The length of this item is not stated here, so go by the figure on the packaging. The section is a semi-finished material, so it replaces no particular part of a model and you cut individual pieces from it as you need them.
An angle is a basic building element wherever the real structure is meant to be visible: lattice girders of cranes, masts, frames of doors and hatches, corner stiffeners of crates and superstructures, brackets under platforms in a diorama. Inside a model it also serves as a hidden stiffener for the joint between two walls, because the right angle holds the parts in position on its own.
Part the section with a fine metal saw and then square the cut up with a file; it cannot be cut with a file alone. Side cutters would bend the legs out of the right angle where they bite. Chamfer the ends so that the parts meet without a gap, and when gluing corners help yourself with a square jig. You can join them with super glue, at loaded points rather with two-part epoxy, or by soldering with tin. Before painting, wash and degrease the section and apply a primer intended for metal, otherwise the paint will not hold on smooth brass.
Tools, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
