Brass pipes 1.2 mm, 5 pcs (AK interactive)

A set of five hollow brass pipes with an outside diameter of 1.2 mm. It is not a kit but a modeling material for what is called scratch-building, that is building and improving parts from loose material. Brass is easy to cut, bend and solder, and thanks to the hollow section the pipes, barrels and lines you make look realistic.

Use

• Fine fuel and hydraulic lines on engines, landing gear and in interiors.
• Antennas, whips and small masts on aircraft, vehicles and ships.
• Thin railings, grab handles and reinforcement where a plastic part looks too coarse.
• Hollow ends for small barrels in the smaller scales.

Usage tips

Cut the pipe with a fine saw or with a snap-off knife while rotating it, clean the ends up and chamfer them if need be. The individual diameters can be telescoped into one another to create stepped sections. Make the joints with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or by soldering. Before painting, degrease the brass and apply a primer suitable for metal.
