Aber – brass round rods 1 mm in diameter, 250 mm long, 5 pieces are a modeling raw material for making your own parts, shafts, handrails and braces.
Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling raw material from the Polish maker Aber. The package contains five brass round rods 1 mm in diameter and 250 mm long. It is not a kit and not a finished detail but a material from which you make the parts yourself. Brass is easy to cut, file and bend, and once glued in it is markedly stronger and more dimensionally stable than plastic or stretched sprue.
Cut the rods with side cutters or a fine saw and level the ends with a file, so that no burr remains. They can be bent around a cylindrical shape; in a sharp bend brass work-hardens and may crack, so bend gradually. They are glued with super glue or two-part epoxy resin, or soldered. Degrease the surface before painting and lay down a good primer – on smooth brass the paint will not hold otherwise.
For modelers in any scale who adapt or make their own parts: builders of vehicles, aircraft, ships and dioramas, scratchbuilders and everyone who needs a dependable stock of accurate metal profile.
This is a material with no fixed scale. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package.
