A Woodland Scenics scenic material intended for creating brambles, bramble runners, low shrubbery and overgrown undergrowth in medium green. Where static grass creates an area, this material adds volume and irregularity, which is exactly what tells an unkempt corner of the landscape from a tended lawn. The medium green shade is universal: it suits summer as well as late spring scenery and stands combination with lighter and darker greens alike.
Break the material into smaller pieces and attach them to the base with glue; scenic glue, thin PVA glue or a spot of cyanoacrylate glue where you need a piece fixed at once all serve well. Do not lay a continuous carpet: irregular clusters of varying size, with terrain showing through between them, look more natural. The volume can be built up further by overlaying several layers. Finished growth is rewarding to fine-tune with loose materials; a fine scatter applied into fresh glue creates the impression of small leaves, while static grass at the foot of a bush makes the transition to the surrounding area. The shade can be softened with a light pass of paint from an airbrush, always only hinted at and never painted over.
For builders of dioramas, display scenes and layouts in any scale who want to bring vertical greenery between the grass and the trees into a landscape.
Keep it dry and out of direct sunlight. The material is not a toy; keep it out of the reach of small children.
