A set of four shades from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive. They are technically acrylic lacquers with a solvent base, even though they are commonly called paints. The set brings together the camouflage tones the British army used on vehicles in Tunisia, Sicily and Italy from the spring of 1943 to the end of the Second World War – that is for the move from the desert palette to the Mediterranean and European theaters.

Contents and use

• The set holds four period-matched shades, among them light muddy tones, dark olive green and olive drab.
• Matte lacquers with good covering power, primarily for an airbrush; once thinned they also suit freehand camouflage patches.
• They are thinned with lacquer thinner (the Real Colors thinner), not with water.
• They dry quickly into a tough surface under washes, filters and dust pigments.

For modelers of British vehicles of the Second World War on the Mediterranean and Italian theaters. The shades combine across the Real Colors range and are not tied to any scale.
