Narrow sanding stick 3 mm, medium grit (blue) is a thin double-sided abrasive file from Albion Alloys for work in the tight places of a model.

A flexible abrasive file three millimeters wide with abrasive on both sides. Blue in the manufacturer's color coding corresponds to a medium grit, that is the step between coarse material removal and fine smoothing. The narrow section reaches places where sandpaper on a block is too wide.
Work in short strokes in one direction and keep turning the surface against the light. Flat and shiny marks will show where material still remains. After the medium grit, finish the surface with a finer step, otherwise grooves will stay that get emphasized once the paint is sprayed. Clogged abrasive can be washed with water and left to dry, which gives the stick part of its bite back.
It pays to keep several grades of grit at hand and to work from coarser to finer; the job is then faster and the surface cleaner.
