About product

Why a brush loses its point

The hair splays slightly to the sides with every wash and the point you bought the brush for slowly disappears. A frayed end then makes it impossible to draw a thin line or to hit a small detail precisely. This product from the Japanese manufacturer works against that: it holds ingredients that keep the individual fibers together and a slightly viscous substance that, once dry, fixes the hair in the shape you have given it.

The conditioning procedure

  • First remove any paint residues and rinse the brush
  • Pick up only a small amount of the fluid and wipe the excess off on the rim
  • Draw the hair into a point with your fingers and let it dry freely
  • Before you start painting, rinse the brush in water again

Who it suits most

Anyone who paints figures or small lettering with fine round brushes will value it, because there a few fibers at the end decide everything. It also makes sense when brushes lie unused for a long time – conditioned hair does not bend in a drawer or a case and does not stay deformed. The product suits natural and synthetic fibers and one bottle lasts a very long time, because it is picked up a drop at a time.

What not to expect from it

It does not replace cleaning: it will not dissolve dried acrylic paint out of the hair and it will hardly save a dirty brush. Nor is it a thinner, so it does not belong in paint. Take it as the final step of tidying the bench, not as an aid during the painting itself.

FAQ

At the very end, once the brush is free of paint and rinsed. It is left to dry on the hair and the brush is put away.

Yes, it is enough to rinse the brush in water. The fixing layer dissolves and the hair returns to working form.

No, brush cleaners are for that. This fluid looks after the shape and springiness of the fibers only.

Synthetic hair takes the treatment just as well as natural. On spraying tools it makes no sense.
