A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line range, the manufacturer's part number HTK-C276, a saturated red shade listed under the name Signal Red with the number BS 381C:537.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a saturated red shade that the manufacturer lists under the name Signal Red and under the number 537 of the British standard BS 381C. That standard gathers the shades of finishes into a numbered chart, so a paint can be identified by a number and there is no need to rely on a verbal description, which with red fails particularly fast. Judge the exact appearance of the shade by the manufacturer's chart and by the label. A saturated red also behaves treacherously on a model: in a small scale it looks darker, and on a finished surface different from the way it looks in the bottle.
The paint belongs to the Orange Line range from Hataka. Use the thinner intended for this range, and keep to the manufacturer's instructions on the package for the thinning ratio and the way of applying it. Stir the bottle thoroughly before work, otherwise the pigment stays settled at the bottom. Red shades have a weaker covering power, so it pays to lay them over a light base and to build the paint up in several thin coats. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand.
It suits warning elements, markings and small details where a clean saturated red after the stated number of the standard is needed. Work in a well-ventilated area and close the bottle carefully after taking paint out.
Thinner, brushes and airbrushes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The volume of the package is given on the package.
