The brand does not offer a larger bolt head in this form. Eighty-one pieces matches the fact that the fewest pieces of the whole assortment fit onto the production plate. Each of them is at the same time large enough to take being cleaned up with a knife and sanded without falling apart between the fingers.

The dimensions in conversion

Sixteen tenths of a millimeter makes approximately two and a half centimeters in 1:16 scale and not quite two in 1:12. You will find joints like that on the anchor fittings of ships, on the frames of historical tractors and traction engines, on the fenders of motorcycles in the large scales or on the joints of large armored bodies. In short, it is a size for builds measured in tens of centimeters rather than in ten.

Working with a millimeter drill

• A hole of a full millimeter will noticeably weaken a thin wall; check the thickness.
• On hollow parts back the spot up from the inside with a piece of plastic.
• Drill in two stages, first with a thinner drill as a guide.
• Take the burr around the hole off with the edge of a knife rather than with a file.

What builds it is for

For ship models with visible fittings, for historical agricultural and industrial machinery, for motorcycles in the large scales and for builds of your own from sheet and profiles. It will also serve as a prop in its own right in a scene, where it represents fastening hardware laid aside on a bench or in a box by a machine under repair. The tools needed for seating it are not part of the delivery.
