AK Real Colors Bundeswehr Early and Complementary SET

A set of shades from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive. They are technically acrylic lacquers with a solvent base, even though they are commonly called paints. The set brings together the basic camouflage color of Bundeswehr vehicles from the 1950s to the 1980s – the single-color olive yellow (Gelboliv RAL 6014) in two variants – together with complementary tones for weathering and detail.

Contents and use

• The set holds variants of the basic single-color olive yellow Gelboliv as well as complementary shades.
• Matte lacquers with good covering power, ideal for overall single-color coats with an airbrush.
• They are thinned with lacquer thinner (the Real Colors thinner), not with water.
• They dry quickly into a tough surface under washes, filters and dust pigments.

Who it is for

For modelers of Cold War Bundeswehr vehicles who build them in the early single-color scheme, before the later three-color NATO camouflage came in. The shades combine across the Real Colors range and are not tied to any scale.

These products contain flammable solvents. Use them in a well-ventilated space away from fire, and wear a respirator while spraying.
