AK Interactive Camouflage Elastic Putty – an elastic masking material

This is a modeling accessory from AK Interactive, not a kit. It is a kneadable elastic material intended for masking when spraying camouflage. With the material you easily shape a ridge or a small wall along a color transition and spray over it with an airbrush – the result is a soft, slightly blurred edge typical of banded as well as mottled camouflage. The material is reusable, adapts to any shape of surface and leaves no greasy or colored traces once removed.

Use

• Knead a piece of the material and shape it along the line of the intended color transition
• You control the sharpness or softness of the camouflage edge by the height of the material and by its distance from the surface
• Spray over the material with an airbrush; it also suits covering wheels, clear parts or small areas you do not want to overspray
• Apply it just before spraying and remove it shortly after the paint has dried – do not leave it on the model for long
• After use, return the material to its container so that it stays supple for the next masking job
