A very light, almost white gray from the acrylic Real Colors range by AK Interactive, carried under the part number RC922 and the number FS 36622. The name Camouflage Grey refers to camouflage finishes, in which tones this light carry the surfaces turned away from an observer. The FS number is the designation of the shade in the American chart, by which paints are compared across brands. The volume of the bottle is 17 ml.
The lightest grays behave on a model almost like white, but without its hardness. They are used on the lower surfaces of the fuselage and the wings, on the insides of doors and covers and as the lightest field of multicolor gray finishes. They also serve well to lighten a darker shade: a few drops are enough to mix a lighter variant of it for the middle of panels.
Wash and degrease the surface, or the coat will come away with the masking tape. Stir the bottle well, as settled pigment shows in the result most of all with light colors. Apply in several thin coats with a short pause between them and count on the tone settling only after several passes over dark plastic. Thin with a thinner intended for this range of paints; the manufacturer's instructions state the thinning ratio and the pressure in the airbrush.
For modelers who need a very light gray for undersides, the insides of covers and for lightening darker tones. It is a shade in its own right; a thinner, a primer and varnish are not included, unless stated otherwise.
