The shade is fixed in the name in two ways: by the military designation Tan 686A and by the number FS 33446, which refers to the American color standard. You therefore know which tone is in the bottle and do not have to look for it by mixing.
The abbreviation CARC belongs to a system of finishes meant to survive decontamination after exposure to chemical agents.
