A kit of the French people's car Citroën 2CV in the AZ version, put together from plastic bricks. The parts click into one another and hold without glue, and they are colored from the factory. The set belongs to the car range of the COBI brand, where smaller models of passenger cars buildable without any tools or chemicals are made. Once built it is a finished model for a shelf.
The Citroën 2CV reached the market at the end of the 1940s as a maximally simple and cheap car for the countryside: an air-cooled flat twin at the front, front-wheel drive, a rolling canvas roof and exceptionally soft suspension meant to cope with broken country tracks. The AZ version brought a stronger 425 cc engine in the mid-1950s and became one of the most widespread variants. The car, which carries the Czech nickname Kachna, meaning duck, was produced for over forty years, and its silhouette with rounded fenders and the corrugated sheet of the hood is among the most recognizable in European motoring history.
Sort the bricks by color and you will save most of the building time. Work from the picture guide and click the parts in straight down — on the rounded fenders and the hood the small parts will not catch if you press them at an angle. To separate them, use a plastic brick separator or the edge of another brick, never a knife. Apply any stickers only to a built and wiped part. Protect the finished model from direct sunlight, as colored plastic fades over time.
This is a kit of plastic bricks, not a plastic model. Glue, paints and filler are not needed and are not included in the package.
