Clear red self-adhesive film from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa, supplied as a single sheet measuring 90 x 200 mm. A glossy top layer on the surface gives the applied piece the look of glass, so a red element reads as a real glazed light rather than a painted area. It is a transparent material with no covering power, not an opaque paint. The surface underneath affects the shade, which is why the film belongs over a light, silver or clear area.
For builders of car and aircraft models who want clean, sharply bounded translucent lights without spraying clear red paint and without the risk of it running into the surroundings. Working with the film is quick and repeatable and, unlike paint, it leaves no brush strokes or uneven saturation.
