A modeling marker in a copper shade from the Playmarker range. It belongs to the products for finishing a surface, so it is intended for details and small areas, not for painting a whole model.

What the marker is good for

Copper is one of those colors that appear on a model in small amounts but in conspicuous places. Usually it is piping, boilers, vessels, metal straps, joints and small fittings, the kind of elements for which working with a brush and a bottle of paint would not pay off. A marker solves such a detail in a moment and with no mixing. It serves on steam machinery, ships, historical vehicles, figures and in free modeling, where copper and brass appear often.

Usage tips

• Try the mark on an offcut first, so you know how wide and how saturated it will be.
• Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the body of the marker for priming it and getting the tip flowing.
• Clean and degrease the area beforehand, as the mark breaks up on a greasy surface.
• Apply it in short strokes and let it dry, and only then add a second layer if needed.
• Before clear coating, check the compatibility of both products on a test piece.
