Mineshima I-37 is a modeling file of square section, 140 mm long, with a medium cut, for flat surfaces and inner right angles.
Responsibility details are not available.
A single file of the Japanese brand Mineshima with a square section. The overall length is one hundred and forty millimeters and the working part is roughly two point six millimeters across the flats. The cut corresponds to a medium grade, so the file removes material noticeably faster than the fine form and suits places where more material has to be taken off before finishing begins.
Guide the file by pushing in one direction and with forethought; a medium cut removes material fast and through carelessness it is easy to take off more than you meant to. For finishing, move on to a finer file or to sandpaper. Keep ridding the teeth of plastic dust, otherwise they clog and the surface is smeared instead of being leveled. Degrease the surface before painting.
For builders of plastic kits and for modelers who work on square shapes, cut-outs and flat surfaces. A square section holds a plane better than a round one and at the same time it reaches into an inner corner, where a rounded tool would blur the edge. Paired with a fine file it covers most of the ordinary work on mold seams.
The tool has sharp teeth. Store it out of the reach of children and, during longer work, protect your airways from plastic dust.
