OILBRUSHER DARK BROWN from AMMO of Mig Jimenez is an oil paint (not an acrylic, not an enamel) in a bottle holding 10 ml. A fine brush is built into the cap, so you apply the paint directly onto the model with no palette and no preparation. It is a model paint, or modeling chemistry, not a kit. Dark brown is one of the most universal shades for weathering, because the eye reads brown more naturally than black.

Use

• Shading and deepening recesses around rivets, panel lines, hatches and in the corners of superstructures. Brown gives the shadow a warm, earthy character, while pure black looks hard and artificial.
• Grime in the recesses around handles, hinges and engine hatches and everywhere dirt really collects and no rag reaches it.
• Earthy undertones, a gentle darkening of undersides and transitions so that the model does not have one uniform, flat shade.
• The paint dries slowly, so it can be blended for a long time and feathered softly away to nothing. It is precisely the soft transitions that make shading look natural.
• It is thinned and blended with odorless thinner or mineral spirits. Apply it only over a cured painted surface, never over a fresh coat.

For modelers who want to give a model depth and relief, whether on military and civilian subjects, aircraft, figures or dioramas. It is one of those shades that get used up fastest on the bench, because they suit practically every scheme.
