Responsibility details are not available.
A dark brown derived from two standardized shades, namely CSN 2430 and CSN 1010 in a ratio of three to one. The ratio given in the name describes which standardized tones the resulting brown comes from; it therefore serves to identify the shade, not as an instruction for mixing. The reference to the CSN standard is a useful anchor: the naming of colors differs between makers, while a number to a standard is unambiguous.
Shades to the CSN standard are used in modeling when painting Czechoslovak vehicles, in whose schemes brown tends to be a secondary color alongside green and gray. A dark brown also suits small work regardless of the scheme, though: wooden parts, leather items, a base under dusty and muddy surfaces, or underpainting in the shadows, over which the base shade then reads with more depth.
Wash and degrease the model before painting, or the finish will not hold. Let the bottle be properly stirred before work, because settled pigment changes the saturation of the shade. Spray with an airbrush in several thin layers and let the surface set between passes; dark shades laid on all at once and thickly tend to flood the engraving. Use the products of the same range for thinning and cleaning, and flush the airbrush before the paint dries in the cup.
The package holds the paint. Thinner, an airbrush and other modeling aids are not part of it, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room, protect your airways and store the bottle tightly closed out of the reach of children.
