Dark Grey-Blue, that is, dark gray-blue, is a shade on the border of two colors: it has enough blue not to look like plain gray and enough gray not to look like a rich blue. Tones of precisely this kind come into their own on models where a surface is to look cool but not conspicuous. Over large areas it pays to grade the shade, that is, to leave the upper parts lighter and the lower edges and recesses darker, as otherwise the model merges optically into one flat area.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use, so that the settled pigment is mixed in. Apply it to a clean, dry and degreased surface; on smooth plastic the coat holds more reliably over a primer coat. Proceed in several thin coats and let the paint dry between them, otherwise the fine details of the surface will be lost. Choose the thinner and the ratio of thinning according to the instructions of the manufacturer on the packaging, that is, the thinner intended for this range. Close the container carefully after the work and wipe the rim, so that the lid comes off easily next time.
The paint suits modelers who need a cool dark tone in their palette and want it named unambiguously and not merely as an unspecified blue. It is usable both as an overall finish and as a shading tone into transitions, joints and recesses.
The paint in the stated shade is supplied on its own. A thinner, brushes, an airbrush, glue and a model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. Verify the volume of the package and its place in the color range by the item code before you buy.
