Desert is a themed set of water-thinnable acrylics from the Quick Gen range. It is built around desert tones: sand, parched earth, faded canvas and shades which follow on from one another from the base through the middle tone to the highlight. The advantage of a set over buying individual bottles lies exactly in this, that the shades are chosen so as to mix and merge with one another rather than jumping about side by side.
With a set the point is that all the shades should last you roughly the same time. Keep them together in the original packaging so that you know what belongs with what, and note the date of purchase on the underside of the box. The paints from one set age similarly, so when one begins to thicken, check the others as well. Use the whole set evenly, because a bottle you do not open for two years will dry in the neck just as surely as the favorite one, only you will notice it late. Store them upright at room temperature, away from frost and away from direct sun. Before putting them away, wipe the neck of each bottle.
For modelers of figures and players who are starting a desert scheme and want matched shades at once, without putting a palette together one bottle at a time.
Store in closed bottles out of the reach of children, protect from frost, do not inhale the aerosol when spraying and work in a ventilated room.
