Dipping ink 60 ml - Burgundy Dip (Green Stuff World)

An acrylic ink from Green Stuff World from the Dipping Ink line, in a 60 ml package. The designation Burgundy places this variant, by its name, in the wine-red part of the range, so it suggests itself for red cloak colors, fabrics, leather and everywhere a neutral brown shadow would look dead.

What it is and what it is not

It is not an opaque paint and it will not replace a base coat. It is a toning ink: it is applied in a rich layer or the model is dipped into it, the surplus is left to drip off and the ink runs into the recesses, where it creates a shadow. On a light base it looks different from a dark one, because the base shows through it.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before every application, because the pigment settles at the bottom.
• Work only on a dry base coat, never on fresh paint.
• After dipping, let the model drip and draw the surplus off with a clean brush, so that no patches appear.
• The ink can also be used selectively with just a brush - into the folds of fabric, into hair or into engraved lines.
• Once it has dried, highlight the edges and fix it with varnish.

Who it is for

For figure painters and players who shade a larger number of models and need a warmer shadow on red and flesh areas than classic brown or black washes give. A volume of 60 ml is enough for repeated dipping, not just for touching up.

Store it in a closed container out of the reach of children. Wash brushes and containers right after the work, because dried acrylic is hard to remove.
