The item comes from the science-fiction line of the Japanese company Hasegawa. According to the name it contains the pair of main characters, Kei and Yuri, and with them their ship, the Lovely Angel. The scale is not given in the name, and in combined sets of this kind the figures and the ship need not even be in the same scale. Check the scale on the box.
Dirty Pair is a Japanese science-fiction series whose central duo are the agents Kei and Yuri. Lovely Angel is the name of their spacecraft and at the same time the nickname of the pair. The subject is fictional, so the color scheme follows the visual style of the show rather than technical documentation. For the modeler that means freedom: the main measure of quality is a clean surface and well-handled faces.
Build and paint the figures separately from the ship, otherwise a brush will not reach them later. Fill the mold seams on the bodies and sand them with fine paper so that they do not break up the painted surface. Apply the skin tones in thin coats and shade them with a thinned wash; the faces are the first thing a viewer notices, and it pays to do them before you move on to the clothing. The hull of the ship, by contrast, will take a smooth gloss finish: sand through several grits and spray in thin coats. If the set contains decals, apply them only over a polished gloss base and finally unify the surface with a matte or semi-matte varnish, depending on the effect you want.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
