Added wiring belongs among the modifications that move a model furthest forward for the least work. Ignition leads in an engine bay, hydraulic lines at the landing gear, lines on a bulkhead or the run to the instruments: all of them need a passage that is not there in the molding. A drilled hole also lets a lead be genuinely threaded through, so that it does not end up glued blindly to the surface.
