About product

Sira Hobby Dust Effect - dust finish

Dust Effect from the range of the Czech manufacturer Sira Hobby is a water-based, odorless liquid weathering product. It creates the impression of light or heavier dusting - settled dust on horizontal surfaces, the underside of the hull, the running gear and in nooks. It suits vehicles, aircraft and dioramas where a naturally dusty look after use in the field is wanted.

Use

  • Applied with a brush or an airbrush onto exposed and lower surfaces
  • Thinned and washed off with water - the density of the dust can be controlled
  • Build it up in layers for gradual dusting
  • It works best over a dried matte varnish

Who it is for

For modelers of vehicles and dioramas who want realistic dust without dry pigments blowing away.

The product is water-based and odorless. Store out of the reach of children.

FAQ

It creates the impression of settled dust on horizontal surfaces, undersides and in the nooks of a model.

Yes, it is water-based, it is thinned and washed off with water and it is odorless.

By thinning and by the number of coats; thin it more for a lighter effect and build a heavier one up layer by layer.
