Eduard Big Ed B-24D Liberator Part I (1:72, Airfix) is a detail accessory set that brings together colored photo-etched parts and masking templates for improving the plastic kit of the B-24D bomber. It is not a model but an accessory that requires a base kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft model itself but a detail accessory set from Eduard's Big Ed range. Big Ed is a collection that brings several accessory sets together in one package - colored (pre-printed) photo-etched parts and masking templates. This part (Part I) is meant to sharpen and enliven the injection-molded plastic kit of the four-engined bomber Consolidated B-24D Liberator in 1:72 scale from Airfix.
The colored photo-etch adds fine details to the model that cannot be drawn out of plastic - it brings out the interior and the instrument areas and replaces flat plastic features with three-dimensional, realistic-looking parts. The masking templates cover the cockpit and gun position glazing exactly, so that you spray the glazing frames cleanly and without lengthy masking with tape. The set requires a matching base B-24D kit from Airfix - on its own it does not make a model.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was an American four-engined heavy bomber used in the Second World War in all the main theaters. The early B-24D version was among the most widely used and became famous for long-range raids and for endurance over long routes.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It requires a separately purchased base B-24D kit (Airfix). Paints, cement and super glue are not included in the package.
