This set is not a kit but a detail accessory. The LööK+ version extends the classic LööK set (a finished color instrument panel and pre-colored steel belts) with masks that make it easier to paint the canopy and other areas cleanly. You get a realistic cockpit and an aid for accurate masking in one package. The set is intended for P-51D Mustang models in 1:72 scale.
The North American P-51D Mustang was one of the most successful fighters of the Second World War. The combination of a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and a long range made it the ideal escort fighter, accompanying the bombers deep over enemy territory. The D version with its bubble canopy is the best known form of the aircraft.
The color panel and the belts are glued into the cockpit without painting. The masks are stuck onto the glazing before spraying, which gives sharp transitions between the frames and the glass. Once the paint is on, the masks are peeled off carefully.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
