Twelve wheels for the Soviet heavy tank transporter trailer in the version A, 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Moving a tank under its own power destroys the tracks and the road surface alike, and so special lowboy semi-trailers pulled by powerful tractors came into being. The Soviet heavy trailer for transporting armored vehicles of this range ran behind the four-axle MAZ-537 tractor and carried a load weighing around fifty tons. To spread such a weight it stands on closely spaced axles with a large number of wheels, which is the most striking feature of the whole machine.
It is exactly because of that number that it makes sense to replace them all at once. The set brings the whole twelve in uniform quality, with the same tread and the same shape of rim, so that no difference arises between them of the kind the eye would notice at once along a long platform. Version A is the form corresponding to the basic appearance of the trailer.
When building, take care that all the wheels sit down on the surface. On a long chassis it easily happens that one is left hanging in the air. It helps to glue them gradually in pairs on glass or another perfectly flat surface. Dusting the lower parts afterwards gives the rig the look of a long haul.
A rig of a tractor with a trailer is a rewarding subject exactly because it joins two different machines and a load can be placed between them. An armored vehicle lashed down with chains, chocks under the tracks and an unrolled tarpaulin on the platform turn a static model into a scene with a story. The wheels are in view along the whole length, so the investment in replacing them really shows.
