Natural Fibre Trees Light Green / 12 pc

HEKI natural trees, light green, 12 pieces

A set of twelve trees from the German maker HEKI built on a framework of natural plant material and given light green foliage. The natural framework gives every piece different branching, so a group does not look like a repeated casting, and the light green sets a scene in spring or at the start of summer. That is a combination plastic trees usually do not offer.

Use

• spring and early summer groups of trees on a layout
• field copses, avenues and growth around buildings
• light trees in the foreground of a scene
• completing existing greenery with younger pieces

How to work with the small trees

Take the trees by the trunk, as natural material is more fragile than plastic. They are stuck into the landscape in a prepared hole or glued by the foot. Before you settle them permanently, lay them out dry and look at the group from the place you view the layout from. Light trees draw the eye, which is why they belong in the foreground rather than behind. If a crown is flattened after unpacking, spread it out carefully with your fingers and, if needed, add granulate onto a thin layer of glue.

Who the set is for

For builders of model railroad layouts and dioramas who want naturally branched trees with the foliage already done, and for modelers building spring scenes. The set also suits completing an older green area, because the light crowns read in it as younger trees that grew later. It is a modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its landscaping goods as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
